Elephant Rock Books is an imprint of the multimedia company Elephant Rock Productions. The company has been producing writing related multimedia for many years. Think of us like Penguin Random House, minus the huge overhead, 60% market share, enormous backlist and German overlords. We publish handsome books, quality fiction and nonfiction that you won't forget.
Publisher Jotham Burrello is an arts entrepreneur—writer, video producer, book publisher, farm hand, New Yorker caption winner, a creative writing instructor at Central Connecticut State, and a resident faculty member at the Yale Summer Writing Conference. Jotham’s writing has appeared in literary journals and the Christian Science Monitor. He has recently published the Writers' e-Handbook.
Amanda Hurley is editor-at-large for ERB YA. Amanda has spent the past five years slinging lit at Tampa's indie bookstore, Inkwood Books, and nothing makes her happier than seeing a kid take a shine to reading. Her YA recommendations have been published in the nationwide IndieNext lists, and she’s a member of the 2013 New Voices Committee of the ABC Children’s' Group at ABA, which seeks out the year's best middle grade and young adult debuts. She's got a quote from The Book Thief tattooed on her forearm, and she has a soft-spot for stories about misfits. She lives with her husband and the obligatory cat in an apartment where, if you squint, you can see the sea.
Anne McPeak is our copy editor / wordsmith, but ERB consumes just a sliver of her talent. Anne is the managing editor of the journal A Public Space and a freelance editor with a special focus on literary projects. She has written about books for the Literary Review, the Brooklyn Rail, and Words Without Borders. She lives in Brooklyn.
Graphic designer Mollie Johanson's dreams contain one million shades of color. For over eight years she has patiently listened to Jotham’s ramblings, which she then translates into images to help brand ERB multimedia. She designs all of our advertisements, direct mailings and some books. God bless Mollie :)
Webmaster Conner Smith arranges our 1s and 0s for the ERB's digital space. He's the youngest member of our team, and thus, fetches the rest of us drinks during company retreats. He currently programs web apps in balmy Minneapolis.
Fisheye Graphic Services has been making books for nearly twenty years in addition to commercial printing and mailing. They handle all ERB printing needs. Their in-house designer works with folks to create a stunning cover and interior layout to fit the style and content of your publication, just check out Biology of Luck. They produce many formats, including trade paperbacks and case bound hardbacks. Email us for more information, samples, and prices at email@example.com.
Grace Glander is a senior at Blue Valley West High School in Overland Park, Kansas. She is an avid reader whose favorite class is English. She is currently a part of the Multimedia Journalism Program at the Center for Advanced Professional Studies. In conjunction with CAPS, she is working with professional blogger Sarah Rhulman. In her free time, she reads, works as a hostess at Fortune Wok, babysits, and hangs out with her friends. She plans on attending the University of Missouri in the fall of 2017 with the hopes of getting into the School of Journalism.
(may they all achieve greatness, and then buy us a drink.)

Again, check the sub page for reading details. Please don’t send manuscripts outside of our reading period.

Great idea! Please fax your examination and desk copy requests on letterhead to 860-477-0845. Our authors are happy to visit classes and or skype with students. If you have a crazy idea to get our authors involved with your students send it along.
We like video clips of authors and publishers discussing the art and commerce of the writing life. Please check out our vimeo channel. If you’d like to collaborate on a writerly video project, send a proposal to the publisher.
